Hypochristian took me about 3
years to record, partly due to a ton of personal obstacles keeping me away from
working on it. It’s my most progressive
project, yet it’s really not all that progressive, although song structure is
purposefully mixed up. Even when I
reach for “crazy”, I usually end up with something more sane, like
“confused”. So, I think that helped to
keep it balanced between commercial metal and unconventional presentation. This project is a mixture of acoustic and
heavy electric guitar work, some piano, with generous doses of effects. It’s definitely the heaviest of my
stuff.
And for the record, the title
track is not an attack on Christians; it’s an attack on hypocritical
Christians that attack others, or Hyprochristians.
